Issue 549 - September 2025

From the Archives: A Postcard Home, 1972

A short letter from a student to their parents—ink smudges, neat script, and a sketch of the castle arch.

“Dear Mam and Dad, lectures are grand and the town is friendlier than I imagined. Yesterday I walked by the castle and drew this wee arch. It’s sunny today.”

The postcard was found in a stack of back issues donated to our archive; the postmark reads simply: MAYNOOTH.
